You can easily tell by the time stamps that I haven’t updated the site in years. The other writers who contributed posts once upon a time also have moved on to other things. However, I hate the idea of information disappearing from the internet and links going bad, so I wanted to keep the site up. However, I did not want to continue to use a heavy platform like Wordpress when it wasn’t needed for the site. (Especially if it wasn’t getting updated by anyone other than me) I migrated the site to a static site builder which allows me to host it using less resources and, therefore, more cheaply. This way the content can remain without it costing me too much money.
Whether I try and find a different, prettier site theme depends on whether I start contributing again heavily. Right now I have many other hobbies and reponsibilities pulling me in other directions. (You can follow along at my personal site) But never say never - I may return to the site at some point if I once again hear the siren song of comics and wish to opine about them once more.
